War Game Challenge

Abstract

For the 10th International Competitive/Market Intelligence Conference in Bad Nauheim, we have prepared a live war game challenge for our participants!
Throughout the conference, you and three fellow participants will form a team to compete against three other teams in a war game. Your mission will be to win a competitive situation. There will be three experienced CI practitioners on hand to provide advice and practical help.

While working on the case, you can test your own level of CI knowledge, learn from your colleagues, and immediately put into practice what you learn at the conference. At the end of the conference, your team will present its solution to the attendees and a panel of experts, who will provide their feedback.

This is a unique opportunity to learn and have fun while enjoying the conference program as well. The winning team will receive a 50% discount off the next conference or an ICI workshop of their choice!

Facilitator profile

Sandra Schlick, Ph.D. recently conducted a masterclass workshop about CI and innovative topics at Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW). At present she works on a project about adaptive learning focussing on online supported methods for engineering mathematics.

She has conducted two competitive intelligence projects for the Swiss post and telecom (Swisscom), and has working experience as machine engineer in construction and administration.

She is a lecturer in research processes and methodology, engineering mathematics, and applied statistics and supervisor of Master- and Doctorate theses at universities of applied sciences in Switzerland (Fernfachhochschule Schweiz, FFHS and, FHNW), and author of two books about applied statistics (Compendio Bildungsmedien).

Her research interests are processes that support strategic management, with a focus on the interaction and link between processes and strategic management, specifically Competitive Intelligence Processes (CI processes) and its link to Knowledge Management Processes (KM processes).
